What are the native LLM experiences that are built on Snowflake Cortex?
Snowflake Cortex is a new platform that enables organizations to use large language models (LLMs) in the Data Cloud. Snowflake is building a number of native LLM experiences on Snowflake Cortex, including:
Document AI (in private preview): Document AI helps enterprises use LLMs to “easily extract content like invoice amounts or contractual terms from documents and fine-tune results."
Snowflake Copilot (in private preview): Snowflake Copilot brings generative AI to everyday Snowflake coding tasks with natural language.
Universal Search (in private preview): Universal Search enables users to search across all of their data, including structured and unstructured data, using natural language queries.
In addition to these native LLM experiences, Snowflake is also working with third-party partners to develop additional LLM experiences for Snowflake Cortex.
Here is a brief overview of each of the native LLM experiences that are built on Snowflake Cortex:
Document AI
Document AI is a new Snowflake Cortex service that helps enterprises use LLMs to extract content from documents. Document AI can be used to extract a wide variety of information from documents, such as invoice amounts, contractual terms, and customer information. Document AI is still in private preview, but it is expected to be released to the public in the near future.
Snowflake Copilot
Snowflake Copilot is a new Snowflake Cortex service that brings generative AI to everyday Snowflake coding tasks with natural language. Snowflake Copilot can be used to generate SQL code, Python code, and other types of code from natural language descriptions. Snowflake Copilot is still in private preview, but it is expected to be released to the public in the near future.
Universal Search
Universal Search is a new Snowflake Cortex service that enables users to search across all of their data, including structured and unstructured data, using natural language queries. Universal Search is still in private preview, but it is expected to be released to the public in the near future.
